WIC is a nutrition program for pregnant or lactating women, infants an children (up to age five). WIC strives to improve the health status of area residents through proper nutrition education and to assist families in the purchase of nutritious foods.

WIC checks are provided for the purchase of such food items as milk, eggs, juice and cereal for women and children. WIC provides iron-fortified infant formula, juice and cereal for children up to age one.

Referrals for medical and dental care, health insurance, child care, housing and fuel assistance, and other services that can benefit the whole family.
