Pediatric Annual Physicals

HealthFirst Family Care Center’s growing staff of medical providers reminds all parents that school physicals are required annually. Appointments are available for all children of Greater Fall River on Tuesday, August 19th, Tuesday August 26th and Wednesday, August 27th. Each appointment also includes a dental examination or a referral to HealthFirst’sdentist. Call Linda Medeiros, Nurse Manager at 774-627-1244 to schedule an appointment or to obtain more information about the school physicals.

National Health Center Week

In celebration of National Health Center Week, HealthFirst is inviting all current, former and potential patients, area legislators and the general public to its open house at 102 County Street on Friday, August 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“America’s Health Centers: Home of America’s Health Care Heroes” is this year’s national theme and recognizes the service and contributions of America’s Community Health Centers. The health care heroes are health center doctors, nurses and other health professionals who strive to improve the quality of each patient’s life.

Julie Almond, HealthFirst’s CEO states, “On behalf of our board of directors and the management team at HealthFirst, I welcome this opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of our employees who give of themselves each day to ensure that our patients receive the quality and compassionate health care they need and deserve”.

Everyone is welcome to visit HealthFirst’s health care “home” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, August 15th.

"Give Kids A Smile" event sponsored by the Children's Dental Access Program founded by the American Dental Association on February 8th. The event was designed to provide chair side education and preventive care to low-income children who do not have access to care. The children received free dental cleanings, examinations and fluoride treatments. Accepting Resolutions prepared by the House of Representatives and Senate in support of increased dental care for underserved children is Anila Ikhlas, D.M.D., Dental Director at HealthFirst.
